On the following pages you will find hundreds of beautiful images gleaned from my collection of old books, magazines, and postcards. They are all from material printed prior to 1923 and are in the public domain. 

FREE IMAGES :: You don’t have to buy any of the images here; they are all free. However, a few are available at a higher resolution for purchase. If you don’t see a “Buy” link, then just grab the image and don’t worry about paying for it.

My only request is that you not sell or give away the images themselves either individually or as a collection. I spend a lot of time searching for and buying the source material, scanning, fixing, and editing the images, and then putting them on the web.
